Description
This is a house located at 1 Chapel Lane, dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid- and late 19th century. It features a timber frame with rendered and brick infill panels, along with brick additions, and has a tiled roof with a large side stack positioned to the right of the center. The building is single storey with an attic and has a three-window front divided into two parts. On the left, there is a single timber-framed bay with three-tier square panel framing and diagonal braces under the wall plate at the extremities. It has a central gabled half-dormer with a three-light casement window above a similar window on the ground floor. There is a folding garage door set into the left end and a part-glazed door to the right, which enters against the stack. To the right, there is a further bay with a slightly lower ridge, featuring a painted three-light segmental-headed small-pane 20th-century casement window to the left and a single-light casement adjacent to the right.
