Description
The Village Stores, located at No. 125 on Church Street in Great Burstead, is a 17th-century house that has undergone significant alterations. It is timber-framed and plastered, now faced in roughcast and weatherboarded on the west gable. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that have vertical glazing bars. The ground floor includes two small shop fronts. The roof is tiled and has three chimney stacks, one of which has been rebuilt in a 17th-century style with diagonal shafts.
