Description
Nos. 8 and 9 High Street is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. The building is timber-framed and has a roughcast render exterior. It features half hipped thatched roofs with an end stack on the left side and a ridge stack. The structure is one storey with an attic and follows a hall and cross wing plan. There is one casement dormer window and one horizontal sliding sash window in the attic, along with three horizontal sliding sash windows on the ground floor. The doors on the left and right are boarded and are located in a gabled porch. Inside, the property has stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and the floor frames may be 19th-century insertions or replacements. A boxed staircase is situated beside a sealed hearth.
