Description

Clapper Stile located to the north-west of the Village College and west of the Recreation Ground is an early 19th-century structure that has been repaired in the 20th century. It consists of three wooden planks that pivot on a central post. One end of the planks is weighted to ensure they return to a closed position after being held down at the unweighted end for someone to pass through.
