Description
This is an aisled barn located to the north of Little Linton Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring some lath and plaster infill and brick nogging. The barn has a red brick plinth and a roof made of corrugated iron, with a plain tiled gable above a double entrance that faces south. The structure consists of seven timber-framed bays, supported by unjowelled arcade posts, with face halved scarf joints connecting to the arcade plates and straight wall braces. The roof is a double purlin design. Historical records indicate that a barn has existed on this site, as noted on two estate maps from 1600 and another from 1799.
