Wardens House, located to the north of the Village College, was built around 1937 and designed by architect S.E. Urwin. It features a modern movement style and is constructed from handmade 'Essex Primrose' brick by Collier & Co, with concrete dressings on the plain parapets and window arches. The building is two stories high and has two stacks, with three staggered projections on the west side. The central projection includes the main entrance and a first-floor corner window. The windows are steel casements of various sizes. This building is included in the listing for its group value.
