Description

Fieldgate Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage that has been extended and renovated in the mid-to-late 20th century. It is timber framed, with portions of the frame exposed and other sections having rendered infill. The roof is thatched, with a long straw finish and is half-hipped, featuring a ridge stack. Originally, the cottage comprised a single three-bay range. It has one storey and an attic. The windows are small-paned casements dating to the mid-20th century. A large mid-to-late 20th-century brick and rendered addition with a thatched roof extends to the east, incorporating the doorway.
