Description
No. 30 Station Road is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, which may be timber framed and cased in gault brick, with English bond on the end walls and a half-hipped reed thatch roof. The cottage features a ridge stack and has a lobby entry with a two-room plan, complemented by a rear kitchen wing that forms a T-plan. It is one storey high with attics, and includes two dormers. There are two recessed mid-19th century four-pane hung sash windows on either side of the doorway, which is made up of six raised and fielded panels. The rear range of the cottage is also framed and thatched. Adjacent to the cottage is a timber framed outbuilding, which is cased in 20th century brick and has a reed thatch roof.
