Description

The wall and gate piers located to the southwest of the gatehouse at Kimbolton School are a late 18th-century structure. This shaped wall is made of local brick and features stone coping, enclosing Castle Green on the south side. The gate piers, which provide access to the carriageway, are constructed of stone ashlar with a brick core. They have a square section with a moulded plinth and a plain entablature, topped with finials that have shallow pyramidal caps. Wrought iron gates complete the entrance.
