Description

1 Castle Green is an early 19th-century house that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed from yellow gault brick and features a low-pitched hipped slate roof with end stacks. The building has deep boarded eaves and three recessed hung sash windows on the first floor, which are set within cambered gauged brick arches. To the right of the doorway, there are two larger ground floor windows that are similar in style. The entrance features a six-panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight that has glazing bars, and the doorcase is adorned with fluted half columns. Console brackets support a moulded cornice. Inside, the house retains original details, including reeded panelled doors.
