Description

No. 5 New Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall and features a double-fronted design with three windows. It is constructed from gault brick and has a parapet. The first floor has a plain brick sill band and round-arched windows set in recesses, which include radial glazing and margin lights. The ground floor has arcaded recesses, with window recesses that have semi-elliptical heads and later sash windows. These recesses are linked by stone impost bands. The entrance is round-arched and includes a patterned fanlight above a panelled door. No. 5, along with No. 3, forms a group.
