Description
No. 9 High Street is a mid to late 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall, featuring a slightly recessed three-storey bay above the goods entrance. The façade has five windows and is topped with a slate roof that has an elaborate eaves cornice supported by console brackets, decorated with patera. The entrance bay also has a console-bracketed cornice and a pediment adorned with egg and dart decoration. The building is constructed of painted brick, with first-floor sash windows that have stucco architraves and glazing bars. The window in the entrance bay is flanked by scrolls, while the second-floor window in the entrance bay has a round-arched head that forms part of the pediment. The ground floor and goods entrance feature a modern tiled shopfront.
