Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house on London Road in Sibson-cum-Stibbington, Wansford. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar and freestone dressings. The roof is covered in Collyweston stone slates, and there is a brick stack on the left-hand side. It is a two-storey building with a symmetrical facade. A round-headed stone arch provides the doorway, featuring patterned glazing bars to the fanlight, although the door itself has been replaced in the 20th century. Window openings have ashlar and freestone jambs, flat arches, flush keystones, and cills. There are two recessed sixteen-paned hung sash windows on each floor. The house appears on the Bedford Estate Maps of 1818 and 1838, and records relating to the property are held at the Bedford Record Office.
