Description

Nos. 1-5 on Arnolds Lane are three cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are built from local grey brick and feature reed thatch roofs, tumbled end parapets, and end stacks. The cottages are one storey with an attic. Nos. 1 and 3 are a handed pair, each having a dormer above a hung sash window and a doorway, both set in segmental arches. No. 5, which is attached at the rear, is of similar age and constructed from gault brick in English bond, also with a reed thatched roof and a tall ridge stack. It has two dormers and flat red brick arches over two hung sash windows on either side of its doorway. The interior has not been seen.
