Description

No. 21 Market Place is a shop, formerly Woolworths, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from local amber brick and has four storeys with two bays. The building features a parapet with stone coping and a brick cornice. Each floor has twelve-paned recessed hung sash windows set in cambered gauged brick arches with stone cills, although the windows on the second and third floors are false. The interior has been completely altered, and there is a modern shop window. The building is included for its group value.
