Description
No. 53 Market Place is a shop that dates from the late 18th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed of local brown brick and rendered, topped with a modern red pantile roof. The building stands three storeys high and features two bays. At the top, there is a shallow parapet with stone copings. The second floor has two wide twelve-paned hung sash windows set in cambered arches. The first floor has larger window openings, which have modern replacements. The ground floor is occupied by a modern shop. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
