Description
The Wisbech Labour Club is a late 18th century or early 19th century house that was formerly known as The Swan Inn. It features warehouses from two different building periods that create a long range at the rear. The structure has an outshut at the eastern angle and stands two storeys tall. It is constructed from painted local brown brick and has pantiled roofs, with an end stack to the east and a rear stack. There is a brick band between the floors.
On the first floor, there are three hung sash windows set in segmental gauged brick arches. To the west of a four-panelled door, there is an early 20th century three-light window with a transom. The corner shop entrance includes a three-light window facing the street, which dates from the late 19th century. The rear warehouses are also two storeys high, featuring bands between the floors and random windows, some of which are glazed or shuttered. The building is included for its group value.
