Description
Lordship Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, although it likely incorporates elements from an earlier building. At the rear, there is a parallel, linked wing that is also late 18th century but from a different building period. To the left, there is a small two-bay range from the early 18th century, which is probably an addition to the original house. The farmhouse is constructed of gault brick and features a tiled mansard roof with a dentil eaves cornice. It has a large gault brick ridge stack and is two storeys high with an attic. The two dormers and four large windows are all from the 20th century. The rear wing is similarly built of gault brick and has a mansard roof. The left-hand range has red brick quoins and banding on its grey brick walls, with a steeply pitched plain tiled roof. The two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor of this range are also from the 20th century. The farmhouse is situated on a former moated site.
