Description
The Royal Oak Public House is an early 19th-century public house with a separate rear range built around the same time. It is constructed of gault brick and features a low-pitched, hipped roof made of slate, with end stacks, one of which has been cut down. The building has a double pile plan and stands two storeys high. The front elevation is symmetrical, showcasing three recessed hung sash windows, each with sixteen panes. The central doorway is set within a round-headed arch. The rear range is built of clunch with some brick and has a steeply pitched tiled roof, also two storeys high. While the ground floor windows are of 20th-century design, three of the first-floor windows are original recessed hung sashes, each with twelve panes.
