Description

This is an early 17th-century timber-framed cottage located on the west side of High Street in Swaffham Bulbeck. The original timber framework is now hidden behind plaster rendering, and the windows have been replaced, though they are positioned roughly where the original windows stood. The roof is steeply pitched and riled, with a ridge stack which has been partly rebuilt. Two later gable dormers have been added. The ground floor doorway is located opposite the stack. A 19th-century stable or service wing, constructed from clunch, extends from the rear of the cottage.
