Description

Downing Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse that likely includes parts of an earlier timber-framed building. It is constructed of gault brick, except for the rear wall, which is made of coursed clunch. The house features a mansard roof covered with slates and has two internal stacks, one of which is probably from the time the framed house was built. The building has two storeys and attics, with three 20th-century dormers and three recessed hung sash windows. There is a gabled porch made of brick.
