Description

This tombstone, made of limestone, is located approximately 40 yards west of the tower in Burwell. It features a large winged heart with flames, along with a skull and crossbones. There is a modern inscription on the back that commemorates the death of seventy-eight people in a barn fire while they were attending a puppet show, with the date '8 September 1727' noted.
