Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 5 yards south of Halton Church, dates from around 1737 and is made of limestone. The inscription on the tomb is badly worn. The south side features two cherubs set in sunk panels, while the north side displays emblems of death. The short east side is adorned with a well-carved memento mori and swag.
