Description
This is a chest tomb located about 4 meters north of the north-west tower buttress in the churchyard of the Church of All Saints. The tomb is unidentified and commemorates a person who died in 1723 or 1725, with the last digit being unclear. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded capping and a widely splayed moulded plinth at the base. The ends of the tomb are shaped like lyres and are adorned with carved foliage returns. The west side includes a moulded oval inscription panel, while the east side is plain. On the south side, there is a central carved inscription surrounded by a swag over cherub heads with wings, and on each side, there is an open book balanced on an hourglass with a flower above. The north side has a central rectangular inscription panel flanked by relief strips, which are all badly eroded.
