Description

The Barn is a 7-bay medieval barn, likely formerly associated with the nearby hospitals of St John and St Mary Magdalene. The walls are constructed of squared random stone with 17th or 18th century brickwork above. The front elevation, facing Cromwell Road, features narrow, blocked slit windows used for granary storage. The roof is tiled and supported by braced tie-beam trusses.
