Description
29A St Mary's Street is an early 19th century building made of buff-coloured gault brick, located at the corner of St Mary's Street and Silver Street. It has two storeys and cellars, featuring a four-window range on the north front, a single window range on the quadrant corner that is slightly recessed on the first storey, and another single window range on the west front. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals.
The building has a wide doorway on the quadrant corner with curved double doors, framed by a stucco doorcase that includes pilasters and a cornice supported by console brackets. A short wing at the south end features an oriel bay window. The roof is covered with slate.
29A St Mary's Street is part of a group that includes Nos 13 to 29 (odd) and Parson's Almshouses, as well as Nos 20, 22, 22A, Nos 24 to 30 (even), Nos 34, 36, 36A, 38, and Nos 40 to 60 (even), along with No 20 Church Lane and the Parish Church of St Mary.
