Description

This is an early 19th century yellow brick house on St Mary's Street. Originally a two-storey house with attics, similar in appearance to number 48, a second storey was added in the 20th century, resulting in a five-storey building. The front has a two-window range of double-hung sash windows with single vertical glazing bars, set in flush cased frames with segmental brick arched heads. A six-panel door is within a wooden doorcase featuring panelled reveals, reeded pilasters, and a cornice. The ground floor has a 19th or early 20th century shop front. The roof is slate.
