Description

Pippin Cottage is a cottage, possibly dating from the 17th century, and now used as a single dwelling. It is timber framed and has been plastered, with a thatched roof featuring two ridge stacks. One stack is made of original local brick, and a more recent stack is located on the right-hand side. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, containing four casement dormer windows. The ground floor has seven windows with varying patterns of glazing bars. A modern boarded door provides access. The interior reveals exposed wall and floor timbers incorporating reused materials, and also includes inglenook hearths. The cottage forms part of a group situated on the original boundary of Ditton Green.
