Description
Hillcrest Cottages, located on Wharf Road, is a late 16th century house that features a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building stands two storeys high and consists of two bays, with an additional bay added in the 17th century. It has a rectangular double range plan and a three-window range, although the windows have been replaced with modern casements. A red brick chimney stack is present. Inside, much of the original timber frame remains intact.
