Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage located on Maxey Road in Helpston. The cottage is constructed of whitewashed stone rubble with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. It is a single-story building with an attic, originally featuring a three-window front. There are two eyebrow dormers. The windows are now modern replacements, with two modern bowed windows and the central doorway converted into a window. A new doorway has been added to the right side of the building. Brick chimney stacks are at each end. At the north end of the left side of the cottage is a one-bay rendered addition covered with a Collyweston stone roof.
