Description

  1. 5141 HELPSTON CHURCH LANE (east side) College Farmhouse (formerly listed as Rectory Farm) TF 1205 37/276 15.12.55 II GV 2. C15/16 house with 2 small buttresses at north end and chamfered 4-centred arch doorway in rear (east) wall. Remodelled in C18. Coursed stone with steeply pitched new tile roof with gabled ends. Two storeys. Two windows. Tripartite sashes with glazing bars and keyblocked stone heads. Modern glazed door to left of centre. End brick stacks. To right set back wing with large external stack on corner and modern conservatory. C17 rear (north-east) wing forming L-shaped plan. interior: a chamfered 4-centred arch doorway in the original east wall has been revealed. Fireplace with chamfered stone jmabs and chamfered timber lintel. C18 corner cupboard has fluted pilasters and keyblocked arch. Rear wing has stopped chamfer ceiling beam.
