Description
Virginia Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the north side of Glinton Road in Helpston. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble with a steeply pitched pantile roof and coped gable ends. The house has two storeys and a four-window range. The windows are 19th-century two-light casements, with the ground floor windows set within moulded stone frames that have cornices. A modern door sits between two of the ground floor windows. Stone and brick stacks are situated at the end and ridge of the roof. A moulded stone window frame with a cornice is present at the west end. A lean-to extension is located at the rear, which is partly modern.
