Description
The Exeter Arms is a public house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century and located on the west side of Church Lane in Helpston. It is constructed of coursed stone with a steeply pitched roof of Collyweston stone, featuring coped gable ends. The building has two storeys and a four-window front. Straight-headed windows are topped with keyblocks. Some original sash windows with glazing bars remain, although some have been replaced with modern casements. A plain doorway is located to the right of centre, also with a keyblocked head and a rectangular fanlight. It currently has a modern door. The building terminates with ashlar end stacks, fitted with cornices.
