Description

This is an 18th and 19th century building on the south side of Cowgate. It is two storeys high and built of painted brick with a steep-pitched iron roof and a brick eaves cornice. The front has two windows, each with four lights and leaded glazing, and a six-panel door. The side elevation is rendered, with a fire plaque in the gable. A modern shop front has been installed. A rendered section to the side includes a fire plaque in the gable. The building is included on the register for its contribution to the group value of numbers 42 to 50 (even) on Cowgate.
