Description

Water House, located about 200 yards west of The Maltings, is a 19th-century water house built to supply water to Burghley House. It is a small building made of dressed stone, featuring a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The end wall has a small depressed arch chamfered doorway, which is fitted with a boarded door that has ornate hinges. Above the doorway, there is a ventilation slit in the gable. There are no other openings in the building.
