Description
The Maltings is an L-shaped building located in St Martins Without Burghley Park. It dates from the 18th and early 19th centuries and consists of a central house flanked by a stable range and a maltings range. The stable range to the southeast is constructed of stone rubble from the 18th century. The maltings range to the northwest, built in the early 19th century, features coursed stone with seven segmental-headed windows and two doorways on the ground floor. The central house, dating from the mid-19th century, is faced with ashlar stone and has two storeys, three bays, and two-light sash windows set in moulded stone frames, along with a central door and end stacks. The roofs are made of Collyweston stone with gabled ends, while the stables wing has a hipped roof.
