Description
This is a small 18th-century bridge located about 135 yards east-north-east of Lolham Mill. It is likely that the bridge was rebuilt in the 19th century. Constructed from stone rubble, it features a round arch and a low parapet with stone coping. On the coping, there are scratched initials "IF" and a date of either 1797 or 1777, along with more illegible initials and a date from the 17th century. Additionally, the name "John Fr" and the date 1727 are also inscribed. This suggests that the coping is from the 18th century and has been reused from an earlier bridge at this location, with the current structure probably dating from the later 19th century.
