Description

Lolham Hall Cottages, located on King Street in Maxey, are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th to 18th century, with significant alterations made in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed stone rubble and feature a Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. They are two storeys high and have a five-window range. The windows are two-light horizontally sliding casements with glazing bars set in segmental arched openings. The cottages have plank doors topped with hipped stone hoods. An off-centre ashlar chimney stack adds to their architectural character. Inside the south end of the cottages, there is a stopped chamfer ceiling beam.
