Description
No. 45 King Street is a house from the late 18th century that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed and banded limestone rubble, with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of Collyweston slate and features raised stone coped gables, along with two ashlar gable stacks that have moulded cornices. The building is two stories tall with attics and has a three-bay front. The central entrance has a 20th-century door with a contemporary gabled hood, and is flanked by two plain 20th-century two-light casement windows. On the first floor, there are three similar windows. The roof includes two hipped dormers with two-light casements that have rendered cheeks. To the left, there is a single-storey, single-bay block with a pent roof that contains a two-light window.
