Description
Cromwell House is a farmhouse built in the 17th century, with extensions and alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and has overhanging eaves, while there are two red brick gable stacks. The building has a T-plan layout and the early 19th-century front is two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a traceried fanlight above, surrounded by panelled reveals and wooden architraves, and is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there are three similar windows. All windows have ashlar lintels with keystones. The rear section of the house includes two three-light 17th-century ovolo moulded mullioned windows.
