Description
Nos. 6 and 8 Chapel Street are two houses, with No. 8 previously serving as the Woolpack public house. They date from the 18th century and were reworked in the 19th century. The buildings feature colourwashed roughcast render over a timber frame and have a clay tile roof. They are designed with a three-room plan, consisting of one storey and attics. The ground floor includes two three-light casements and two two-light casements, while the attic features three box dormers, each containing two-light casements. There are two doorways with open pediment hoods supported by cut brackets; the doorway for No. 6 is blocked, while No. 8 has a part-glazed door. A rebuilt red brick double chimney stack is located between the two right-hand bays.
