Description
The Royal Oak Public House is a public house that was formerly two separate properties, dating from the 11th century and the 18th century. It features colourwashed roughcast over a timber frame, with much of No. 4 rebuilt in the 20th century. The roofs are covered with clay tiles. No. 4 is two storeys tall, while No. 6 has one storey and attics. There is a variety of windows, mostly casements of different sizes, with three on each floor of No. 4. No. 6 has two gabled dormers. No. 4 also has a 20th-century open pediment doorcase and door, while No. 6 features a small panelled door that is now out of use. The building is included for its group value.
