Description

The buildings at 3 and 5 Sun Street date back to the 17th century, with alterations made later. They are a pair of two-storey dwellings, with the ground floor of number 3 currently used as a shop. The walls are colourwashed roughcast over a timber-framed structure, with one gable end partly covered in weatherboarding. The roof is covered in clay tiles. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century window on the left-hand side, replacing a former carriage arch. To the right of this are three sash windows. The first floor has four two-light casement windows. There is a 20th-century doorway on the left-hand side, and a doorway in the right-hand gable end. The buildings are included on the list for their group value alongside numbers 27 and 28 Market Square.
