Description
Nos. 26 and 26A on Market Square is a house that has been divided into two properties, with the ground floor converted into shops. The building dates from the 17th century or earlier and has undergone some reworking in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with colourwashed roughcast render and a 20th-century tiled roof. The structure is two storeys high and has a cross-wing on the right-hand side. The main block and the right-hand gable have 20th-century shop fronts, with a 20th-century door located between them. The first floor is fitted with 20th-century replacement casements that include glazing bars. A red brick multiple stack is present on the main block.
