Description

No. 17 Ickwell Road is a house dating from around 1700. It features colourwashed roughcast render over a timber frame and has a thatched roof. The building has a two-room plan, is one storey high with attics, and includes a single-storeyed addition on the south gable end. The ground floor has one single-light window and three two-light casements with glazing bars. There is one gabled dormer in the attic, which now has a 20th-century casement window. A plank door is located at the centre of the main block. The house has red brick integral stacks at both gable ends, with the southern stack being a later addition. Additionally, there is a colourwashed brick and slate outhouse block attached to the south gable end.
