Description
The barn attached to the southwest end of Old Woodbury Farmhouse dates from around 1600 and has undergone later modifications. It features a timber frame with brick nogging, a brick plinth, and a tiled roof. The wall adjoining the house is made of 20th-century brick. Originally, the barn had five bays, but it has been reduced to four. The entrance is located in the second bay, where a timber floor remains. Inside, there are three arch-braced tie beams, while the fourth and northernmost truss has a replaced tie beam and queen struts. The roof has clasped purlins and diminished principals, with the southern end hipped.
