Description

Milestone located outside Park Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century. It is made of stone and painted white, featuring a pyramidal top. The milestone is inscribed with "50 miles from London" and notes that "the six miles stone from ye 44 mile stone in Baldock Lane to this place was set up by Rog. Burgoyne Bart in 17[?51]." Sir Roger Burgoyne passed away in 1780.
