Description
Valley Farmhouse, dating from around 1630, is located a quarter mile north of Tetworth Hall. This farmhouse features a hall with a crosswing to the south and later additions to the east of the crosswing. The structure is timber framed, with plaster rendering and brick casing on the ground floor. It has a plain tile roof and an original projecting side stack on the south of the crosswing. Both the hall and crosswing are two storeys high, with modern windows, except for a three-light casement with ovolo mullions in the south wall of the crosswing. There is a gabled stair turret on the east wall of the hall, and a 19th-century single-storey brick addition is located to the east of the crosswing.
