Description
Valley Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier. The garden front is plastered, with flint and brick dressed returns and rear. It features a high-pitched roof covered with black glazed pantiles at the front and red pantiles at the rear. The front has an irregular bayed design, with three ground floor three-light casements and four first floor two-light casements. There is an early 19th century door-case and door, along with eaves, west-end, and off-centre stacks. The east gable has brick kneelers, a parapet, and a clustered four-chimney end-stack with an exposed rectangular base, indicating an earlier higher roof pitch. The west gable includes a 17th century oak door frame with end stops and a six-panelled door with an ogee head, which may have been repositioned. There is also a rear outshut and a gable north wing, both from the 17th century.
