Description
The Church of All Saints is a parish church that dates back to around 1300, featuring later details and a 14th-century Decorated west tower. The building is constructed from flint with stone dressings and has a leaded roof. The tower is four stages high, with an ashlared plinth and diagonally set buttresses on the west side. It has a west door and a two-light window above, along with sound hole slits, a string course, and four curvilinear bell windows topped with four trefoil-headed lancets. The parapet adds to the tower's character.
The nave and chancel are not clearly differentiated and include 1300 piers and arches from demolished aisles that have been incorporated into the walls. The north wall of the nave features two three-light Perpendicular windows and one triple lancet window, while the south wall has one three-light Perpendicular window, one single lancet, and one window with Y tracery. There is also a priest's door.
Inside the chancel, there is an east window with intersecting tracery from around 1300 and an angle piscina. The sedilia consists of a flat stone seat set in the window embrasure. The church has a 19th-century arched braced roof supported by alternate long and short wall posts, with carved corbels from the same period. A 19th-century font is present, along with four small brasses from the 15th and 16th centuries.
